Consultancy Services - How we work

Equipment Sourcing

An initial meeting will be conducted with your Mesco consultant, where you will discuss in detail your individual requirements. We will take through the stages of procurement, for your required equipment, with reference to the projected life cycle of the procured item. We will present you with options for comparison where available, on equipment available to be sourced – and we can work to tight timeframes.

Technical Clarification

We have an extensive knowledge base to be able to clarify most technical enquiries promptly. Where we don’t have the answers for you immediately, we are able to tap into an extensive global supplier base to obtain technical specifications of mechanical equipment.

Comparative Analysis

Where a comparative analysis is called for, we will draw together the pricing and technical specifications of the range of mechanical equipment available for a given task. This information will be collated and then distilled into an easy-to-navigate report to allow the end-user to quickly and reliably compare the advantages and disadvantages of individual units.

Spare Parts Procurement

Sourcing and procuring equipment is one thing - but most equipment will at some stage require spare parts.  It is prudent to have spare parts on reserve, and Mesco (Ltd) can help you with the procurement of necessary parts to be able to apply a regular maintenance programme. Parts may be required for other equipment you run – Mesco (Ltd) can also assist in sourcing of these.

Where required, we are able to evaluate “preferred supplier agreements” for your company, for any items or supplies.

Preferred supplier agreement review

Part of the process of researching for equipment and / or parts is comparing prices, process of delivery, quality, ability to supply, ongoing service.  Our consultants will take all these considerations into the process for recommending a supplier.

Where requested, we are able to evaluate “preferred supplier agreements” for your company, for any item. We are also able to carry out a process to check on your current suppliers with the help of your input.

In all respects, once we have the information we need, we are able to report back to you in a very short time frame.

Operational budgeting costs on equipment

Mesco (Ltd) is able to assist you with planning and defining your individual present and future mechanical equipment needs, working to today’s tight commercial imperatives.

No future-proof plan will be complete unless it includes a comprehensive parts inventory and maintenance programme for specific equipment.  We are ready to compile this for you as part of an operational budgeting review.

Appraisals of Equipment

You need to know the equipment you are going to buy is not only appropriate for your needs, but mechanically sound. No one wants to end up with a lemon! We have both our own consultants, and outside resource available to assist with equipment appraisals.  Mesco (Ltd) can arrange for inspection and testing of mechanical equipment prior purchasing.  This system can be applied for comparative analysis testing also.

Disposal of surplus equipment

Upgrading of mechanical equipment inevitably leads to replacing the old, with the old becoming redundant to your needs – if not ultimately obsolete. We can advise on the most economic way of disposing of surplus equipment.
